Do You Have The Summertime Blues?

Classes are over; you’ve nothing to do,
With time on your hands, you’re feeling blue.
Look to LVS for relief,
’cause we’re there for you!
Well, that may explain why I teach a coding class and not the poetry class.
LVS Online learning is between sessions until September. That’s a bummer! But don’t despair; there is an option, you know. It’s called the Self-study curriculum.
LVS offers a wide variety of courses under this category.
What Is a Self-study Course?
Self-study classes are open entry / open exit courses for which there is no instructor support, unlike our instructor-led courses. But, like our instructor-led courses, the lesson material is high quality in its authorship.
Why Are Courses in Self-study?
There are a number of reason LVS designates some of its courses as self-study. For instance…
The Dreamweaver MX/MX2004/8, the self-study course, are lessons encompassing older versions of that program, whereas Dreamweaver CS3-CS4 was written for the most recent version. Perhaps you’ve not upgraded to the latest version of this software; this would be a great class for you to take.
Let’s say you use FrontPage as your text editor. As you are aware, Microsoft no longer supports this product. Being on the leading edge of e-learning, LVS transferred the FrontPage lessons to self-study, offering the instructor-led Expression Web course as a replacement.
Finally, a course’s instructor elected to take a session or two off and, rather than not offer it at all, put his or her class into self-study.
What Is The Cost?
Like all LVS courses, a self-study class is reasonably priced. Choose any class in the self-study curriculum for only $15.00 per course.
How Do I Register?
Go to Self-study, select your course(s) of interest, and click on the title, at which time you will be directed to that course’s registration page. Complete registration like you do for any other LVS class. How easy is THAT!
Please bear in mind that over the summer, your request may take a couple of days to process. So, the sooner you register, the sooner you can begin your learning adventure.
Now go have some fun and get over those summertime blues!
