Is The Div Tag Causing You Woes?

May 14th, 2009 Deborah

Well, there is absolutely no need for that to be the case!

When first learning how to code a web page, there tends to be some confusion about the div tag with regard to what it is, where to apply it, and how to make it work. And frankly, I’ve seen more than a few professionally developed web site where div tags were not performing up to their full potential. Translation: ooops!

If you’ve not taken my introductory coding course here at LVS, you, too, may have experienced a hiccup or two when applying a div tag.

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in finding out more about, I’ve put together a quick and simple tutorial that may help clarify that pesky div tag issue you’re having. Your world will be a better place to live once you learn how to "divide and conquer" your web pages.

Let me know what you think by leaving a comment either here or on the article page.

Thanks!

New Page Added

April 23rd, 2009 Deborah

Deb just added a new Page to the LVS Build Your Web Site I blog. Whoa! It seems I can either teach it or I can blog about it; the two don’t appear to be concurrent activities. So, with the March session about to come to an end here at LVS, I thought I’d grab the opportunity to put together a short article.

When first learning how to code a web page, there tends to be some confusion about the use of a class, as in, where to apply it, when to use it, and how a class differs from a selector.

If you’ve not taken my introductory coding course here at LVS, you, too, may have a question about the difference between a selector and a class.

To that end, I’ve put together a quick tutorial that may help clarify that for you and help you to "class up" your web page.

Let me know what you think by leaving a comment.

Thanks!
