Sad news

December 21st, 2009 PSP Instructors Posted in LVS, Paint Shop Pro | 4 Comments »

We have some very sad news to share. Last week, Phyllis List passed away in her sleep after a long battle with cancer. Many of you know Phyllis from her classes in PSP.

Phyllis had been active in graphics since 1996, and she once said that the day she stopped learning would be the day she’d “lie down and give up the ghost”. She certainly made good on that resolve and is an inspiration to us all.

Phyllis was a wonderful instructor and a great colleague, and we’re all going to miss her very much.

  1. We will miss you Phyllis. You had a knack for teaching and your students loved you. Thank you for sharing some of your beautiful frames for PSP under the name Wolfie: http://students.lvsonline.com/frames.html Thank you for sharing your expertise with dog training with us. Be at peace my friend…

  2. I agree wholeheartedly with your sentiments Lori.
I did PSP classes with Phyllis.
She will be sorely missed around the halls of LVS.

  4. Phyllis was always such a very kind and patient person. Her PSP Foundation classes were wonderfully friendly and warm. Her message board was like a living room where we all hung out in front of a warm fire and discussed PSP. I learned so much from her and periodically wrote her with questions after the classes had long ended. She was that rare thing: a good and giving person through and through. She will be very much missed.
