Attention LVS Students!  We’d love for you to tell us who you are and which class(es) you are enrolled in.  Feel free to add comments to let us know how LVS has affected your life.

    Am in the DTP w/PrintShop class and, thanks Elaina!, just found out about this blog. Since I use PSP 8, the link to the pspPower issues is appreciated. And thank you, Lori, for that.

    Glad the old psppower issues came in handy for you, Kathleen. :) I also have several PSP8 tutorials on my site, and most of the scrapbook-related tutorials were also developed in PSP8. http://loriweb.pair.com/

    My current class is the Blogging class, for the second time.

    I use PSPX and I am satisfied with that version for now. I took all of the classes, including the Vectors class.

    I’m enrolled in Digital Darkroom w/PSPP X1 and I’m finding it to be a powerful foundation for retouching digital images. I’m looking forward to the continuation of my digital imaging education through LVS Online. –Stuart

    P.S. It would be nice to understand the relative strengths of both PSPP XI and Photoshop. I tinkered with Photoshop in the early 90s without really getting very far.

    I am in the Poser class right now but I am looking forward to taking the Paint Shop Pro class and Photoshop to see what I have been missing in these softwares.

    I just downloaded the new Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 so will be in the next classes offered. I am just starting to learn digital scrapbooking so this should be helpful.

    I like your site, Lori. Thanks for the link. I just printed out two of your tutorials (Metallic Text and Glass Stones). Since there are several more I’ll probably use, I bookmarked your page for future use. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to make and post the tutorials!

    I am Nancy Griffin and live in Illinois, USA. I love 3D graphics and have taken XaraXtreme, PSP and Vue6 classes here at LVS. I took 3 classes this semester; 2 self study PSP classes and teacher lead Vue6 Advanced class. I enjoy being a student here and I have learned so many new tips and tricks to make my artwork better.

    I use PSPXI and have been extremely happy with it. It was easier to use than PSP7 for me…once I got used to the difference in the text tool. I do find it frustrating that there is so much support for PS on the web but so little for PSP and at some sites they only list PS as an option to choose for what programs you used to create your image, not PSP.

    I just completed the Build series this time around. The classes are very good and the instructors are dedicated. I can’t wait for classes to start up again here at LVS!

    I just finished the Astrological Card Reading class. My first love is photography and digital art. I’m familiar with PhotoImpact, and this class has a lot of appeal to me. When I finish the class I just signed up for, I will be back to check when this one will be offered again.

    I just completed the Dreamweaver CS3 Intro Class. Someday I would like to take a PsP class as well. Since I am still in version 7 I probably would have to upgrade my program first.
