Mining for words in memories and wishes,
Saving words from the day–a way
of seeing and believing that all this starstuff we live
Amounts to something worth living
something worth sharing
with its irregular rhythms and beats,
taking something off the street and shining it up,
launching it in the sky
as a way to answer, “Why?”
