About Brian

Brian was employed as a relieving Postmaster and Postal Clerk by the Postmaster General’s Dept later becoming Australia Post, in the central wheatbelt and goldfields area of Western Australia for many years. He had learnt the piano when he was attending Junior High School, and usually managed to find a piano to play on, through someone’s kindness at most towns where he was posted. Brian has always been interested in the arts, and left Australia Post in 1978 to pursue a career as a private music teacher. In 1986 he was awarded the Diploma in Teacher Of Music, Australia (T.Mus.A.) of the Australian Music Examinations Board. In 1989 Brian was awarded the Performer’s Certificate in Pianoforte at the Trinity College of Music London.

In 2004 they were awarded the Associate Diploma of the St. Cecilia School of Music in Pianoforte Duet Performance. The duet repertoire includes mainly classical including works by Mozart,Brahms, Debussy and Faure, also a work for two pianos by Mozart.
