If you are reasonably accomplished with Corel Painter then try the PhotoPainting & Portraiture Classes I, II and III.
Registration is currently open for classes Feb/March 2012. Class will begin on 23rd Febuary 2012 and are of 5 weeks duration.

Do you like Corel Painter? I love it. It is THE digital painting software for all digital artists. It is amazing just what can be accomplished using this software.
Painting from scratch and applying brushes and media just as you would in traditional painting. Sketching using a selection of pencils that emulate real sketching and shading pencils.
Cloning and using photographs as a reference. You may not be a great painter or even draw a straight line, but Corel Painter helps you achieve a very painterly painting by applying various cloning methods.
Collage is a great and fun way of creating composite images into one painterly masterpiece. Learn the basics and advance until you can create a portrait.
PhotoPainting is just a dream. Turn a simple photograph into a wonderful painterly masterpiece. Photographic portraits of your loved ones, including animals can be painted worthy of framing and hanging on a wall.

$30.00 per course for new students
$15.00 per course for Self-Study *SS* classes for new students

Click on the ‘Painter’ link
Choose the class you wish to take and click on the link
Scroll down to the end of the page where there is a blue bar ‘Add to Registration’
Follow the prompts to register.

Another Class is about to begin……….
I can’t believe we are ready to begin our second class for 2011…..how time flies when one is having fun!
Registration is currently open and will close on the 23rd February, so be sure you have your name down by then.
We will commence lessons on the 24th February with the first lesson posted. The following week, the second and subsequent lessons up to the final and 6th leson will be available. This enables you to work at your own pace.
I am currently revamping the classes to accommodate the 5 week schedule of the classes……bear with me as this will take quite some time.

Classes are over for the spring/autumn session. For those in the northern hemisphere you will be enjoying the summer break, for us in the southern hemisphere, winter is upon us.
One great thing to look forward to is classes for September. LVS Online will open for registration in August 2010, so be ready to sign up for a class.
The newly formed PhotoPainting & Portraiture III will be launched in September. I know there are a number of eager artists waiting with their brushes ready!

This new format enables the student to work at their own pace rather than rushing to get work done in one week, or a student can do a couple of lessons within one week.
The duration of the course is still 6 weeks with 6 lessons.

Digital Art & Embellishing!
My PhotoPainting & Portraiture classes in lesson 3 will learn how to embellish their artwork.
What is Embellishing or Finishing as some say? It is adding dimension and depth to ones artwork by applying a mixture of paint and gel mediums to create a textured and painterly look to what otherwise would be a flat, digital print.
Make your digital art look like the ‘real thing’.
There are a few products in art shops that can be purchased to carry out this work. Learning how to apply it is the next step.
In my lesson I will give step by step instruction, along with video demonstration on application.

Classes will return in September after the northern hemisphere summer holiday time. As for me, it will be winter down here in Australia so I will take the time to revamp some of my lessons and move house!
PhotoPainting & Portraiture III will be available in September which is the final class in the three part classes.
It’s been fun teaching folk how to paint from photographs, whether it’s a straight, simple painterly image or a complete change……it’s all fun, exciting as well as challenging.
