Corel Painter PhotoPainting & Portraiture I

I have heard people say “I can’t paint, not even a straight line”. The great news is Corel has provided the Painter Software that will enable the most amateur artist to paint beautiful, painterly masterpieces. I’m delighted to help you learn this. However, like all painting and drawing, it does require lots of patience and practise. Once you’ve been bitten by the PhotoPainting bug you won’t want to stop!

This course is the first of three in PhotoPainting & Portraiture. You start with the basics; a simple clone then on to painting Still Life, Landscapes and Portraits by making application of Painter’s brushes, textures and other applications and much more.

Each week you are given an image and step by step instruction to transform a photograph into a lovely, painterly image. You are then requested to paint your own. Do not feel daunted by this. Once you have painted a few photographs, it will be more or less … easier!

There is  class material available, together with Video demonstrations.

The introduction to Painter’s brushes. media and many other techniques teaches you how Painter brushes work and getting the best out of them. Once you have become accomplished with Painter’s vast array of brushes you will feel much more confident is using Painter. This is a MUST have class to help you understand what brushes to apply for your artwork. The class is not strictly a painting class, however you do cover in quite a number of lessons how to paint with certain media by actually creating a painting with step-by-step instruction.

The Art of Collage with Corel Painter

Collage with Painter is very different to creating collage with other software programs. The amazing way blending is approached, with masking, creating and applying texture. Come and join this great class!

Do you like Corel Painter?  I love it.  It is THE digital painting software for all digital artists.  It is amazing just what can be accomplished using this software.

Painting from scratch and applying brushes and media just as you would in traditional painting.  Sketching using a selection of pencils that emulate real sketching and shading pencils.

Cloning and using photographs as a reference.  You may not be a great painter or even draw a straight line, but Corel Painter helps you achieve a very painterly painting by applying various cloning methods.

Collage is a great and fun way of creating composite images into one painterly masterpiece.  Learn the basics and advance until you can create a portrait.

In a near future class I will be teaching PhotoPainting & Portraiture.  Learn all aspects of this fascinating subject.
