Bean Fairbanks has been a life long educator, taking great delight in watching her students learn about computers, graphics, sewing, textile arts, design, relationships and their own bodies. She developed a love affair with databases when trying to meet the multiple complex needs of her patients 14 years ago. The power and efficiency won her over and databases have been in her bag of tricks ever since. She has served as a small business consultant for over ten years, assisting small business owners, non-profit organizations and community groups by obtaining, organizing and presenting the information that they need to succeed. This has covered the spectrum of needs assessments, satisfaction surveys, web sites, e-commerce sites, newsletters, branding, promotional materials and of course a variety of databases.

In addition, Bean is a usability tester for Adobe products. She uses Dreamweaver and Photoshop daily to create and revise the front end of a variety of websites, from the provocative to the mundane. MySQL and PHP are her current tools of choice for developing and maintaining the backend of web sites. Whether it is behind the scenes or the graphical interface of a web site, Bean strives for a solid, functional, logical and efficient design tailored to the specific needs of her clients.
