Down time. Relaxation. Taking a mental break. Are these familiar to you or something that you only dream of doing?
If you are like the rest of us, you probably multi task more often than you don’t. I know that I am one who is guilty of this habit.
There are many benefits to relaxing. Here are just a few….
1. Decrease your blood pressure.
2. Lower your stress level.
3. Improve your mental outlook, your “thinking process”.
4. Improved sleep.
5. A calmer you

Again, these are just a few of the times when you need to scrub up. Remember to wash your hands by using soap and rubbing your hands together for at least 20 seconds. Usually this is how long it takes to sing the song “Happy Birthday” to yourself.

The Weekend…

Well, the weekend is almost over. It has been a great time to relax and just catch up, physically as well as emotionally. Do you think that we as a society tend to push ourselves too much and not take any down time and relax and let our minds just rest?
I know that for me, this is something I work on all the time. I have found a few ways to help, such as walking, playing the piano, reading, and meditating.
Do you meditate? Have you found it helpful? How long do you usually spend?
