Having very happily grown up with an Artist Grandmother, a Father who had an incredible eye for design and a Mother who encouraged all things creative, it was a great sadness that she was told by her school that “no my dear – we don’t do graphic design here!”. So Hils’ career took a different route working in varied workplaces including Oil, Construction, Travel and Hospitality.

‘Out of the box computers’ arrived and were explored culminating in a WYSIWYG website. But how did it all work? Insatiable curiosity began a fascinating technological journey ending up so far with home built computers, an enthusiasm for hand coding and a website design and development business.

Having worked with Vikki Long (Brooks) for several years, in the LVS Online Build 3 Class, and after using Joomla! since it was Mambo in her professional work, the time has come for Hils to share this knowledge and the Joomla Fast Track Course will be available at LVS Online from the March Session (registrations for March accepted from February 9th 2009)

Hils lives in a Nature Reserve in Norfolk UK with her partner Peter and family of Dandie Dinmont Terriers – Sister Bliss, Boy, Maxxi Jazz and Natty Dread. Likes? Smiling, people, real food, boating, gardening, LVS, Joomla, CSS and the joy of Dandies. Hates? Puppy Mills but she’s not really a ‘hate’ kinda girl!
