Just to let you all know that it’s been a busy summer for me as I will be teaching two new courses at LVS: Introduction to PhotoImpact X3 and Astrological Card Reading. Similarity? I think NOT! I will probably have a blog for the course(s) separate from this one, but you “artistes” out there who deal with right-brain activities might be interested.
Astrological Card Reading is a fun and informative way to read cards using a plain deck of cards and, for some reason, “it WORKS”!
I’ve found that Corel’s PhotoImpact gives the best “bang for the buck” (and LVS gives a discount on the software). I used PI exclusively for my digital art and still use it when I nab a student’s painting to add a tetch of this or that to illustrate more clearly my critique. It’s less than $100 and also is bundled with Corel’s Media One and Painter Essentials 3 (a light version of Painter). Professional photographers will love it for the ease of use in “tweaking” their photographic masterpieces.
