Instead of opening the News Flash program to make a change to your personal news items, open the text file News Flash creates and change the information located between the tags. Here’s an example from the lesson:

Board Meeting Tomorrow

There will be a board meeting tomorrow in the main clubhouse at
2:00pm

Change the information between the red item tags.
To add additional information, copy the item tags, place beneath the existing item tags and modify for the new, additional information.
It saves a little time by editing the text file instead of opening the program.
BTW, be sure to use a Text Editor, not a word processor.
Have fun!
Apparently, there are some glitches in the registered version of the site mapper program. CoffeeCup is aware of these and is working on the issues. If you own this program, keep checking your downloads page for an updated version.
Just a heads up for you, if you have the registered program.
OK…class has started, so let’s get a tip for the first lesson…the HTML Editor.
You want to create a site using CSS. Kewl…it’s what you should be doing, but you don’t know anything about CSS. No problem. The HTML Editor has a bunch of different CSS layouts to get you on the road.
Go to File/New from Layout and you’ll be presented with a whole list of CSS layouts. Just click on each option and you’ll see a preview of what it will look like. Of course, it’s up to you to “pretty it up” but you’ll certainly get a good start.
Click on this image to see a larger version.
If you create your own news items, when you want to edit or add a new bit of news, just open the text file created and edit it with the new info then upload.
Saves time opening RSS News Flash to edit it.
—————————
How to………
Open the .txt file in any text editor.
Look for the tags :-

….

this is where each scrolling section of your news is located.
Copy one of the complete sections and paste it right under the
tag at the top, this is so the dates run in sequence.
All you have to do now is edit your piece of news and then upload the file to your server.
