Hah, I’ll go first! I brilliantly thought taking Basic Web Applications with ASP and PHP for Web Developers 101 at the same time would be a snap! Well, okay I knew it wouldn’t be but it was challenging and a lot of fun
Anita
I’ll go second Anita.
I would like to once again thank Bean for the Blogging class last May. I’m having so much fun playing with themes. Check out the cool one I’m using on the blog for the Printshop Class
http://lvsonline.com/online-printshop-class/
Thanks again Bean.
I’m enrolled in Bean’s Blogging class — for the second time — and also Elaina’s Painter Level I class. Affect my life? Almost daily, as I read and experiment and apply and fail and go again. The classes keep me accountable as I learn.
Weeks 5 & 6 in the blogging class are especially challenging for me, and are the reason I’m back a second time. I will take the course until I’m comfortable I understand their lessons on a practical level… and know I have access to others farther along on the path I’m taking…
Does LVS have a place in my future? Oh yes — I met several instructors (as fellow students)in Bean’s last session (May, 2008) whose classes I want to take. Both as an artist and a writer who wants to fully understand the code behind my blog so I can develop it into a profitable web site.
Barb
I don’t know anything about blogging. I have so little time since I’m learning Vue Advanced and there’s so much to learn. When the class is over it might be interesting to delve into this type of class to see what it is all about.
I keep coming back to LVSonline and have taken a class during every semester since starting here.
Nancy Griffin
I’ve been taking classes at LVS since before you started keeping track of the classes taken. I am presently in the Blogging class for the second time because there is so much to learn here and I especially enjoy the community aspect of it. As I said here before, I would love to be a life-time member.
I can’t say enough about the instructors here. both Bean and Anita are uniquely gifted and helpful.
How has LVS my life in my professional or personal life? They really are one and the same. LVS classes are the best bargain in learning and the blogging class has been the most useful in that it is a way to bring my other skills together and connect with others.
I will be back for sure.
I can only fit one class in each time, so this is my only class this time around. I have taken a lot of ones and have always gotten a lot out of them, and wish I could spend more time on them each time…but it never works out quite as well as I expect it to.
I hope I actually finish it and don’t have to take it again. I will be back probably for some other PHP classes, or maybe the intermediate ASP.NET one. Who knows.
This is my second time for the Blogging class and I love it. If life and work didn’t get in the way I would take every class offered.
I wish I was talented and creative enough to earn an income from everything I have learned through my classes at LVS.
Sherry
I’m enrolled in Digital Darkroom w/PSPP X1 and I’m finding it to be a powerful foundation for retouching digital images. I’m looking forward to the continuation of my digital imaging education through LVS Online. –Stuart
P.S. This class is near the top of my list for future class enrollments. I currently maintain a blog but it’s totally canned from a graphic standpoint.
Hello:
I am currently in the Poser class, but I have heard so much about this blogging class I am going to have to come back and take it.
I have never been good at blogging and I have tried several times..lol..
Thank you for all you guys do here..
Kim
I found out about this blogging class from Barb – see above, at the Painter Talk forum. I am so glad I found it, even though it is hard work and takes clocks full of time! I have got behind already but like many others, I am planning to take it a second time. (Registration page seems currently On Hold, but I am hoping it will be open again soon and Bean will be willing to run her fantastic course again.)
How has LVS altered my life. Well I have done other LVS courses and they has really opened up my life. I have not only learnt a huge amount, but made some good friends as well, and seen their talented work.
I forgot to give you my full name…Nancy Griffin. I live in Illinois just outside of Chicago.
Blogging is something I’ve given thought to, but never realized there was a course offering anything about it. LVS certainly is the place to check out when looking for new ideas and classes.
I forgot to add that I just finished taking the Astrological Card Reading class.
When taking inventory of 16 previous classes at LVs I noticed my first class was in July of 2004 and the most recent was Blogging for Fun, Fame, and Fortune, in April of 2008, which I am considering repeating. I wonder if the course has been updated since then.
While on vacation I discovered live.com for blogging and decided to prepare a journal of the cruise. Linked web site url is listed as my current website. As a travel journal I am aware of the awkward writing style. This blog was prepared to illustrate our experience for our travel consultant. After polishing it up a bit and I continue to add selection of images. Then I will broadcast the URL to our family and friends. . If anyone reads this blog, your comments would be appreciated. Comments will be open until spammers make maintenance too time consuming. On this blog I have not find a way to filter the spammers. What I really like about LVS are instructors and classmates feedback, which may induce me to retake the Blogging for Fun, Fame, an Fortune again.
BTW I am taking a seminar in “Second Life” (Virtual Reality) and find it fascinating.
Main drawback is that when participating “Second Life” a hunk of time is needed and it is also indicative as computer virtual reality games. Second Life is virtual reality that is amazingly powerful instrument used by business as an alternative to internet based conferencing.
