May 17, 2008 – 1:31 am by Bean

Welcome to Week Two and your new blog!

I will be creating a blogroll of all student blogs this session. Please add a comment to this post that gives us the web address/URL of your new blog. You can also use the comments here to find a classmate’s blog to visit and comment on for the last portion of your assignment.

Get blogging!

  2. I haven’t finished the week 1 homework yet, but at least I can get this part of the week 2 lesson in. :)
I’ll be working on the LVS Paint Shop Pro blog here: http://lvsonline.com/online-psp-classes/
Haven’t posted there since April 30, before the class even started, but I’m hoping to have a new post today or tomorrow.

  3. This is probably the only part of this weeks lesson I will be able to complete
so I thought I’d get it done before hanging myself from the nearest tree.
Gee Bean only posting the class in an obscure eskimo dialect could have made it more confusing(for someone who knows nuttin’)! WTF?
I will struggle on and do what I can but if I were you I would pull on my “help the lagging student out fit” because its sure gonna geta work out from me!

  7. Hi Bean,
I’ve set up my blog hosted on wordpress. That way I can keep it anonymous, rather than have it on wendyshortland.com. If I changed my mind late I can always buy another domain name.

  8. Oh, sorry - it didn’t display the address - http://quirkyartist.wordpress.com

Hope the blogroll shows up.When I click “View this Post”,I don’t see it.But it did show up when I sent the link to someone as a test.

  10. Here’s mine. My web host provides this as part of the hosting service…so, although I had to “install” it, I really didn’t. They make it pretty easy.

I did find a theme I liked and installed it before you said to wait until next week…oops!!

    Anyway, here it is:

  11. After a couple of days focusing on in the learning curve to navigate, upload and set up WordPress through GoDaddy host, I worked up the start up blog for this class:

    http://goldinrule.com/wp/

Earlier I practiced using google blog http://samtexan.blogspot.com/
    features with intention of mirroring
In part what I discovered in practicing with Picassa 2, Google Albums and linking the albums to google blog site that “do” and “redo” seems to be necessary for me to try to get it right as far as I am able.

Other tasks in the assignment such as RSS feeds and adding to my blog roll and will be tackled later this week. I am still struggling with my host’s features of SQL. I have worked on MS Access and other databases and understand data base structure, presentation and output, but relating the class pdf document on SQL illustrations to the SQL screens of GoDaddy host is a real challenge. So far all I see are wingding fonts that look like Greek to me. Hope that my windshield to see how to apply SQL will clearer later

  12. I’ve subscribed to Earthbound Light Photography Tips and I’m using Google’s reader, since I subscribed before I took this class and did it while doing research for writing my Photoshop lessons.

    I left a comment on Elaine’s blog.
I didn’t give you a topic last week. I might change the title to “Life Among the Daisies” or something like that. Basically it’s about my life. I hope to get my daughters to author posts (they live all around the country) It will be family driven and may become private.

  22. I’m sooooo confused! I must admit that’s nothing new however. Anyway, I finally got the blog up and running. The name of the blog is “For the People, By the People”, and you can find it at http://www.godlovespatricia.com

The rss feed has me stumped. I think my problem lies in the fact that I have customized my toolbars in Firefox. I managed to get subscribed to a couple, but must work on this issue a bit later.
